The Nevada Promise Scholarship aims to make a college education more accessible and affordable by providing last‐dollar financial aid to Nevada students attending one of the state’s four community colleges: College of Southern Nevada, Great Basin College, Truckee Meadows Community College, or Western Nevada College. The scholarship helps eligible students pay for up to three years of tuition and mandatory fees at CSN.

Nevada Promise Updates:

Thank you for your interest in the Nevada Promise Scholarship. We are pleased to announce that a new funding cycle of the Nevada Promise Scholarship was approved by the state legislature in June 2019. Please stay tuned as the Nevada System of Higher Education provides participating community colleges with updates about eligibility and requirements that reflect the legislative changes to the Nevada Promise law.

The Nevada Promise Scholarship application is now available.


The deadline to submit the application is Oct. 31, 2019.

Students will be able to apply for the Eisenhower Scholarship–designed to recognize outstanding applicants who are positively transforming their communities. The College has a long history of civic engagement with students and alumni making a difference in their communities and around the world.

The Eisenhower Scholarship is Gettysburg College's most selective scholarship–$160,000 for four years of full-time study ($40,000 per year). It is awarded to top-performing applicants within a most challenging curriculum who have demonstrated a high level of civic engagement locally, nationally, and/or internationally. More information about the Eisenhower Scholarship including application requirements and process is on our website.

Additionally, Gettysburg College recognizes students' academic achievement in high school by awarding four categories of academic merit scholarships under Early Decision and Regular Decision.

  • Abraham Lincoln Scholarship–$32,000 per year

  • Presidential Scholarship–$27,000 per year

  • David Wills Scholarship –$24,000 per year

  • 1832 Founders Scholarship–$15,000 per year

Decisions on merit scholarship recipients are made as part of the admissions process. A separate application is not required

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute awards more than $1 million in college scholarships to exceptional student leaders each year. High school seniors nationwide who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship are invited to apply for the 2020 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. This program annually provides college-bound students with $10,000 renewable scholarships – up to $40,000 total per recipient – and supports them as they lead and serve in college and beyond. Help put promising young leaders in the running to join our 10th class of Scholars. Share this news with candidates who exemplify these characteristics inside and outside the classroom and encourage them to apply.

Arbor View High School Scholarships – The Public Education Foundation 2019-2020 Due 01/31/2020

Aggie Counselor Scholarship

Arbor View High School Clark County, Nevada, college bound seniors with a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA who have participated in the same extracurricular activity for two years or more at AVHS may apply for this scholarship. Recipient must enroll as a full-time college student. One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000. Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.

Two scholarships in the amount of $500 each will be awarded. Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.

LAS VEGAS SCHOLARS PROGRAM

 

Academically talented students with demonstrated financial need to attain undergraduate degrees in computer engineering or computer science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. (Students interested in being in this program need to apply to and be accepted into UNLV's College of Engineering first).

UNLV REBEL SCHOLARSHIP

 

This scholarship is awarded to new freshmen students who have never attended college at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

SCORPION ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 

This scholarship program is looking for upcoming Nevada State College students. Eligible students must graduate from high school with a minimum 3.25 unweighted GPA, or from a community college within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) with a 3.25 GPA and an AA, AS, AB.

 

Amount: $2,000

THE ROGERS FOUNDATION ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Rogers Foundation offers a total of $100,000 annually in new scholarships, providing scholarships each year for students wishing to pursue higher education, both within the State of Nevada and beyond; the scholarships are for students attending any institution of higher education, including vocational or technical schools, community colleges, or state universities.

 

Amount: $500 - $25,000

TZU CHI USA SCHOLARSHIPS

 

The Tzu Chi USA Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates and continuing undergraduate students in selected areas of the United States. Tzu Chi USA Scholars are selected on the basis of their financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.

THE JACKIE ROBINSON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 

Applicant must be a graduating senior in high school who is planning to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States. Additional fellowships are given to JRF Scholars to pursue opportunities to work and study abroad.

FNSNA UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

 

Applicants must be currently enrolled and matriculated in a state-approved nursing program leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic pre-licensure doctorate or generic pre-licensure master’s degree; or enrolled in an RN to BSN completion, RN to MSN completion, or LPN/LVN to RN program. This is open to U.S. Citizens or Aliens with U.S. Permanent Resident Status/Alien Registration Number.

 

Amount: $7,500

AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

 

This scholarship is open to United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico. Applicants must be high school seniors going to college for the fall 2020 semester.

 

Amount: $25,000

 

Deadline: December 15, 2019

 

 

ODENZA MARKETING GROUP VOLUNTEER AWARD

 

This is open to students between the ages of 16 and 22 on December 30th, 2019 who possesses a GPA of 2.5 or higher in their last academic year, and have contributed at least 50 hours of volunteer (non-paid) service within their community over the last 12 months.

 

Amount: $500

 

Deadline: December 30, 2019

 

 

THE GORDON A. RICH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

 

Applicants must be dependent children of full-time employees in the financial services industry (commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and similar businesses as determined by the Foundation). They must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full time first year students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States.

 

Amount: $12,500

 

Deadline: February 20, 2020

 

 

GLADYS CAROL SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Gladys Carol Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors, high school graduates, and current undergraduate level students who are United States citizens or permanent residents. They must be accepted to or enrolled in a full-time STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) program at an accredited, non-profit public or private four-year college or university in the United States.

 

Amount: $5,000

 

Deadline: March 31, 2020

 

 

TRUMAN D. PICARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

 

This scholarship program is dedicated to the support of Native American students pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources. The Intertribal Timber Council (ITC) has cooperative financial aid agreements with the University of Washington, Oregon State University, Salish Kootenai College, Northern Arizona University and Yale University. Recipients of the ITC Truman Picard Scholarship are eligible to receive additional scholarships including tuition waivers, if attending one of these colleges.

 

Amount: $2,500

VEGETARIAN RESOURCE SCHOLARSHIP

 

This scholarship is looking for students who are graduating high school seniors that promote vegetarianism in their school and/or community, have a strong commitment to a vegetarian diet/lifestyle, and will attend an accredited college in the U.S.

 

Amount: $10,000

 

Deadline: February 20, 2020

 

 

BARBARA LOTZE SCHOLARSHIP

 

Scholarship applicants must declare their intent to prepare for a career in physics teaching, be undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment planning to pursue a career in physics teaching in the high schools, and be U.S. citizens showing promise of success in their studies.

 

Amount: $2,000

GEN AND KELLY TANABE SCHOLARSHIP

 

9th-12th grade high school, college, or graduate students, include adult students, who are legal residents of the U.S., and are either currently in school or planning to start school within the next 12 months.

THE GENEVA ROCK SCHOLARSHIP

 

Scholarship applicants must be in pursuit of construction-related careers. All students must have received, (or be in the process of attaining), their high school diploma or GED. The applicants are required to be U.S. citizens, or legal permanent residents with work eligibility status.

 

Amount: $2,000

SCHOOL BAND AND ORCHESTRA ESSAY CONTEST

 

This annual scholarship competition is for music students from grades nine to twelve. Five winners will be selected from grades 9 to 12, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must be passionate about music and/or currently a part of a school music program.

 

Amount: $1,000

PACIFIC ISLANDER COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Community Leadership Scholarship will award one student for their community leadership excellence. Students of Pacific Islander descent must attend an accredited institution of higher education in 2020.

Deadline: January 17, 2020

 

 

PACIFIC ISLANDER EXTRA CURRICULAR SCHOLARSHIP

 

The SPIO Extra-curricular Scholarship will award one student for their extracurricular excellence. Students of Pacific Islander descent must attend an accredited institution of higher education in 2020.

 

Amount: $5,000

 

Deadline: January 17, 2020

 

 

PACIFIC ISLANDER ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

 

The SPIO Academic Scholarship will award one student for their academic excellence. Students of Pacific Islander descent with a GPA of 3.0 or higher must attend an accredited institution of higher education in 2020.

PATHABLE SCHOLARSHIP WOMEN IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

 

Awarding an annual $1,000 scholarship to a female student going into their freshman year of college or a female student who is currently enrolled in a computer science or computer related degree from an accredited university.

Deadline: February 15, 2020

 

 

NPCA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

 

Applications are open to anyone who will be enrolled in a certificate program or an undergraduate program for the next academic year. The applicant’s course of study should be in an academic field related to the building, construction or precast concrete industry.

LITTLE SWEET BAKER SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

 

Applicants must be attending or accepted into a U.S./Canadian college or university, and enrolled in a science program. Students will be required to provide proof of enrollment before the scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline: April 1, 2020

 

 

THE POINT FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

 

This scholarship is looking for students enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited college or university based in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, in the fall of 2020,and be “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community, preferably in a degree-granting undergraduate or graduate/doctoral program. Community college students must be transferring to a four-year college or university in order to qualify.

CREW NETWORK FOUNDATION COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

 

Female citizen of the U.S. or Canada who is a full-time junior, senior or graduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and enrolled at an accredited college or university to pursue a career in commercial real estate.

 

Amount: $5,000

 

Deadline: April 30, 2020

 

 

NEWH GREEN VOICE DESIGN COMPETITION

 

Interior Design or Architecture undergraduates or graduates attending an accredited college. Up to two students majoring in either courses may work together as a team. They will split the $7,500 scholarship, and receive paid travel and lodging to the awards event in May. (This is held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada).

R3 STEM CELL SCHOLARSHIP

 

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, who are at least 18 years of age, have a current GPA of 2.5 or higher, and documented acceptance at a university, accredited college or community college. (Or can show proof of current enrollment at a university, an accredited college or community college).
